Raleigh Bicycles at Recycled Cycles! The Raleigh Bicycle Company was founded in 1887 in Nottingham, UK and is one of the oldest bicycle companies in the world.   For over 120 years, Raleigh has been creating market-leading bikes.  Today, their product development engineers and graphic designers ensure that the innovation continues and every Raleigh bike has a special level of quality and attention to detail.  The functionality of every bike is important at Raleigh, it must be “fit for purpose” and reliable.
Diamond Back Bicycles at Recycled Cycles!Diamondback Bicycles was founded as a BMX brand in 1978 by Western Coast Industries in Camarillo, California, which sold bikes under the Centurion (bicycle) brand.  Early in its history, the brand name was “Diamond Back” and over time this changed to “DiamondBack” and then to “Diamondback.” Beginning in 1990, Western Coast Industries started selling its mountain bikes and road bicycles under the Diamondback name as well. Since 1979, many riders have successfully competed under the sponsorship of Diamondback, which began with BMX and expanded to Mountain Bikes with the creation of Diamondback Racing (DBR) in 1993.
GT Bicycles at Recycled Cycles!GT mountain bikes are often readily identifiable by the “triple triangle” frame design present in most hard-tail designs. Early BMX frames were also easily identifiable as the top tube seemed to bisect the seat tube and protrude beyond it by approximately an inch-and-a-half towards the rear of the frame. This innovative idea was claimed to reduce the amount of vibration transferred to the seat from the rear wheel. Later versions would actually have the customary “GT” letters stamped on the end of the protruding tube.
